Wood appoints Global Technical Director of Zero-Emission 流动性

Wood has appointed Naeem Farooqi as Global Technical Director of Zero-Emission 流动性 to further accelerate its role in urban mobility, decarbonisation and transportation markets.

Wood’s Zero-Emission 流动性 team is focused on solving challenges and delivering roadmaps for fleet electrification as more countries set ambitious decarbonisation targets and look to shift transport fleets to zero-emissions vehicles.

Naeem has dedicated his career to transit management and delivering innovative infrastructure and decarbonisation solutions and has been recognised with numerous industry awards as an emerging leader in sustainability including by Clean50 in the Transport 脱碳 category. 在这个新角色中, he will focus on expanding Wood’s electric mobility global centre of excellence and provide clients direction on their path to zero-emission mobility using Wood’s ZeroEmissionSimTM 数字工具.

“As the demand to reduce emissions continues to increase, we recognise our responsibility to advise our clients as they embrace change and adopt new mobility solutions,” said Lytle Troutt, President of Wood’s environmental consultancy business. “Naeem and our Zero-Emission 流动性 team demonstrate the importance of Wood’s role as a leader in the energy transition and delivering ambitious net-zero emission goals for a healthier, 更清洁的地球.”

Commenting on his new role, Naeem补充道, “I am excited to expand Wood’s zero-emission solutions as a global centre of excellence in support of fleet electrification, 资产管理, economic analysis and charging and fuelling infrastructure. Electric and hydrogen vehicle adoption requires planning; we have the tools and expertise to empower our clients as they better the world on their journey to cleaner transportation.”

Naeem has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from York University, a master’s degree in planning and is currently pursuing a PhD in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Toronto.
